You may or may not have heard about the Visa and Mastercard Class Action Settlement (Payment Card Interchange Fee and Merchant Discount Antitrust Litigation or “PCIF”). The case settled years ago, but the $5.54 billion settlement became final this past summer.
To be eligible to recover a portion of the interchange fees paid to Visa and Mastercard during the class period, a business/merchant must have accepted Visa- and/or Mastercard-branded cards at any time between January 1, 2004, and January 25, 2019.
The claims process began on December 1, 2023, and claim forms are being sent out on a rolling basis. It’s possible that you will receive other correspondence about this class action. Please see the attached PCIF Summary for more information about this historic settlement and its history.
I have partnered with a recovery firm, Financial Recovery Strategies (FRS), so that I can take advantage of their 15 years of experience in class action claims management and assist my relationships in obtaining their rightful recovery from the PCIF settlement fund. FRS handles all aspects of the claims process, which includes confirming that its clients’ current and prior locations/entities are included in their claims. FRS has a long track record of maximizing their clients’ recoveries.
FRS works strictly on a contingency basis; they do not collect a fee unless their clients receive a recovery. There are no other fees or costs associated with their work.
